Silver Lining: On the coming of age of a laptop

On the coming of age of a laptop

I had a whole slew of posts planned for this week, but then -

My computer got an attitude. Asserted its independence.Came of age. Rebelled against established authority.

Thank goodness for my brother, who's an absolute computer genius. He's been over here working his magic for hours. I'm helping by providing cookies and looking up steampunk on grandpa's computer.

Send a happy thought to my severely confused laptop, or give it a swift kick in the rear, depending on your tendencies.

In the meantime -

Dear Mr. Laptop {name has been removed to protect the rights of said moody laptop},

In case you were confused, you're not opposing SOPA and PIPA by refusing to boot up.

Kind of cordially,

B

P.S. what if all I had to do was wind a knob and you'd be in perfect order again?

Oh Pinterest. Oh patience. Oh problematic technology.

  4. Ha-ha great letter! However perhaps your laptop would respond better to a petition since it has decide to stand up for his own rights.

Good luck getting it back into working order.
