the trouble with friends is

they bring you cakes when they know you could use a little pick-me-up.

And the further trouble is that their cakes are out-of-this-world delicious {which is a weird phrase, since whenever I think of out-of-this-world stuff, I think of astronaut food, which is in fact not delicious at all. Right? Think dried ice cream and toothpaste tubes labeled "Extract of Thanksgiving Dinner."}.

But the point is - Mark and Jessa are amazing, and that cake was amazing, and now I've eaten cake for breakfast, which I'm quite certain is not part of A Balanced Healthy Lifestyle. 

Halloween is a week-long affair at my school, so I'm off to a field trip today! (and haunted houses tomorrow, and tons o' Halloween fun on Wednesday, and costume making, and.....) Which naturally comes right in the middle of a week of observations and after-school meetings and errands that refuse to run themselves. It's a busy week, but a fun one!
