How to thrive in a good 'ole fashioned summer rainstorm

I LOVE a good rainstorm (blame it on the fact that I'm an Oregonian, born and raised). We've been having some amazing summer rainstorms lately, and I can't get enough! Here's a not-so-serious guide to how you can learn to love rainstorms, as spoken by a true Oregonian:

1. Cozy up in leggings and an oversized sweater. Bonus points if they're muted colors.

2. Choose to embrace the rain instead of grumbling about it.

3. Don't do your hair. For real. Down and wavy and soft is the way to go.

4. Open all your windows to soak in that wonderful rain smell.

6. Put on Jaymay or the Shins for a perfect rainstorm soundtrack. Dance around your kitchen.

7. Don't run from your car to your house to avoid getting wet. Walk. Slowly. Or even stop and look up. Do you dare?

8. While you're at it, you might as well stop shaving, recycle everything and wear only tie dye, and voting for medical marijuana and gay marriage (Joking! About almost all of those...).

And there you have it. Now you know how to embrace the rainstorms, and become that much more of a Northwestern while you're at it :)

May the rain be with you this weekend :)
Any other summer rainstorm lovers out there?
