Silver Lining: Good things come in nines

Good things come in nines

Fact: This little blog has been neglected lately. I know it. My posts are fewer, and there have been some times when I just upload a snapshot or two and call it good.

Fact: I'm sorry, little blog. I won't neglect you so much anymore.

Fact: If it's any consolation, there are lots of things going on in my life. This week

  • my brother's leaving on a church mission for two years

  • I have a midterm and two presentations. Oh wait, actually three.

  • my dad's getting married

  • I'm getting surgery

All in one week! When it rains, it pours, eh?

Fact: I'm so sick of the D word. Not the four-letter one, but the other one. DIVORCE. It even looks ugly when you type it. I hate it, because

Fact: Divorce tears things apart, in the long run, in the short run, in the individual, in the family, in society. I'm sick of hearing about it, especially when it relates to people I love.

Fact: Someone once told me that bad things come in threes. That may be true, but

Fact: If bad things come in threes, good things come in nines. Like cousin barbeques, and lunch with my married girlfriends, and everyone in my ward here, and Sam, and the rain.

Fact: I am very glad I have Sam.

Fact: Good things come in nines. Or maybe they come in three hundreds. Probably more.

  2. And I'm thinking of you with everything you have on your plate...you've got it. And not on your own, I might add :)

  3. Are we playing Truth or Fact?

Fact: Brooke is awesome! And her blog is like the sound of soft rain.

Fact: Sam is also awesome! And his kindness to my sweet Brooke will be repaid a hundred-fold.

Fact: Oh my gosh! Your dad is getting married!

  4. Brooke... I came across your blog again and wanted to congratulate you on your engagement! I am so happy for you and excited for the good times ahead.

I guess this means I'm the lone single girl standing from our lab group last year. I better kick things up a notch, eh? (Just kidding, I'm in no rush at all! but I do think its funny!)
