Silver Lining: The Healthy Schmealthy Initiative

The Healthy Schmealthy Initiative

Sam and I have taken on a Healthy Schmealthy Initiative.

There we were on Easter eating a whole bag of Cadbury eggs, when we just kind of looked at each other like, "yeah, we should stop."

The problem is, when Sam has that look, he means it. I usually mean it for 5 minutes.... Sam's so great at being healthy. He does it for all the right reasons, and he's committed. I'm not as great, and I even had sugar twice this week without thinking about it.

This whole no sweets thing ends on Sam's birthday. Needless to say, I'm already planning that birthday around the theme of SUGAR! AND MORE SUGAR! WITH SUGAR ON TOP!

So many sugary cakes, so few birthdays in our lovenest.

Any must-make birthday cake ideas?

  1. I'm thinking those Swedish Fish sushis are the cutest thing I've ever seen! And the reese's peanut butter cake is giving me a sugar overload just looking at it! *shudder*

  3. Is that a cake with all those m&ms?! That makes me happy. And we try to be healthy sometimes, too. And by that I really mean that I try to be healthy sometimes, whilst Tim just laughs because he knows it isn't going to last :)
