What I've never made is a how-to-live list. I believe that slightly altering the way you live is more effective and lasting than impulsively buying gym memberships, throwing all your sweets out, and cutting credit cards in half. Encouraging the good habits you have, and gently, slowly, improving yourself is how I see real change. So here are my resolutions this year:
keep living, but live more intentionally
keep loving, but love him more selflessly
keep eating, but eat more greens and less processed
keep exercising, but make it fun and find a friend
keep praying, but make it a true conversation
keep giving, but give more and more often
keep teaching, but prioritize more
keep becoming, but don't let fear stop you
That or I'm trying to justify the fact that I went out to dessert with some friends last night instead of staying in and not eating sweets. You choose :)
Do you make New Year's Resolutions?
What kind of resolutions work best for you?
Anything I should add to my list?

ReplyDeleteI love your list and I so agree with you about working out. I too feel working out with a friend would be a lot more fun and probably even more productive, but finding one that has the same schedule as you is really hard. But I wish you the best of luck.
ReplyDeleteSooo perfect! Love it!
ReplyDeleteHello would you mind stating which blog platform you're working with? I'm going to start my own blog in the near future but I'm having a difficult time deciding between BlogEngine/Wordpress/B2evolution and Drupal. The reason I ask is because your layout seems different then most blogs and I'm looking for something unique.
ReplyDeleteP.S Sorry for getting off-topic but I had to ask!

Hi there. I noticed your blog title, "Blogger: Silver Lining" doesn't really reflect the content of your website. When creating your blog title, do you think it's best to write
ReplyDeleteit for SEO or for your readers? This is something
I've been battling with because I want good search rankings but at the same time I want the best quality for my visitors.
