Silver Lining: Hiking the Narrows

Hiking the Narrows

^^Officially obsessed with these red rocks.
^^Fall in the canyon is gorgeous.

 ^^So, this kept happening.
It was partly hilarious, and partly weird/ disturbing (they didn't even ask first!).

^^You know how if there's an elk on the side of the road in Yellowstone, a million people gather round trying to take a picture? It was like that in the Narrows, but for every tiny squirrel in sight...
^^It was fairly crowded at the base of the river, but we hardly saw anyone once we started hiking up the river. We didn't get as far as we planned, but it was so fun nonetheless!

This picture is actually from a different hike, but how could I not include it? Our little adventurer.

Bucket list item: CHECKED OFF. And it was awesome.

  1. Zion is REALLY special to my husband and I. We haven't done the narrows but we did the back country subway hike and it was AMAZING. I can't even describe it.

  2. Oh seriously the narrows is SUCH a beautiful hike! I love that you guys got to go to Zion! Aren't the squirrel picture-taking tourists a riot? Too weird haha. And that sun hat in the last picture? Kill me dead, she's so cute!

    1. The tourists were cracking us up the entire time. So funny what they thought was picture-worthy. At one point, a little bit of water was falling from the cliff to the rock below, and everyone was taking a million pictures of the tiny waterfall haha.

  3. I'm always scared about hiking in St. George because the canyons you go through look teeny tiny & my claustrophobia is like NO WAY. But this doesn't look so bad!

    1. I hear that. It's really not too narrow though! Only if you're super hardcore and hike for miles in the river.
