JANUARY
We formed a different kind of new year's resolutions, made a very important decision, and invited my husband's little brother to come live with us. It's totally changed our lives, and we're loving it. Also, my trooper husband took pictures with me in the snow despite a terrible head cold.
FEBRUARY
My cute cousin got married, I procrastinated my teacher work sample like none other, I realized how insane I become in the cold, and took pictures of the cutest baby I know. Also, some Valentine's gifts and a love letter to my husband.
MARCH
Our Jason turned twelve, a day in the life of me (hourly pictures), and I found the picture I want people to use at my funeral. Also, I went camping in the snow for three days with 150 fifth graders and was then rewarded with SPRING BREAK.
Started off the month with a bang by making my fifth grade students cry on purpose, did a family challenge where we tried new things and thought outside the box, came back to campus after a year of teaching to finally walk at graduation, and recreated a picture of my parents. Also, my students said lots of funny things in April.
MAY
Successfully finished my first school year of teaching (woop woop!), went to Moab with my family and took about a million pictures of beautiful red rocks, hosted a blogger meet-up, and learned a lot about myself when I cut off all my hair for locks of love. Also, what I do besides my actual job.
JUNE
Started the summer by going on a vacation with my fellow fifth grade teachers, answered some Q&A about our ward of the state, one brother came home from a mission and another brother left (I sobbed my eyes out), and I had a beautiful shoot with some wildflowers. Also, facial hair and murder suspects - you know, the usual.
JULY
Found out we had just a few weeks to move, found the treehouse and moved to it (took some pictures in it before we moved in), ran a 5K and got weirdly sentimental about it, and photographed some darling best friends. Also, do you have better grammar than a 5th grader?
AUGUST
Started up my second year of teaching, shared what my classroom looks like this year (but now there are a lot more broken crayons and pencil shavings), and celebrated two whole years of being married to the man who now has the sexiest goatee I've ever seen.
I forgot to vaccinate my child (yikes!), met up with my sisterhood of the traveling pants, became an official bookworm, gave you a mini-tour of the treehouse, and wrote about all the things I want the most. Also, our family got WAY better at hiking and 7 ways teaching has ruined me forever.
Became obsessed with teacher fonts, compiled a list of things I'm bad at, just about died of fall-colors overload, and photographed my first wedding. Also, I dressed up as Mary Poppins and survived my second Halloween as an elementary school teacher.
NOVEMBER
We took some family pictures, I realized I'm the only one in my family who can't communicate telepathically, and had way too many chocolate- and caramel-dipped pretzels. My students continued to say hilarious things.
DECEMBER
I turned 24 (and ate about 24 pounds of sweets that day), went to the lights at temple square, made it through my fourth angel day with so many good people (part 1 and 2), went sledding, and wished everyone a very happy Christmas.
